About Us

Alpha Bible College, Nigeria [ABCoN], is a biblical education academy with its Headquarters at Plot 6, Block AK, Road 3, Oba Afunbiowo Estate, First Gate, Adjacent to National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Idanre Road, Akure. Our operational Office is located at No 158B, Oyemekun Road (Adjacent to Lafe Junction), Akure 340271, Ondo State, Nigeria.

We are committed to making biblical and theological education accessible to all by employing all means possible, including the traditional classroom interaction method, the long distance or correspondence method as well as online studies. ABC also uses the social media.

ABCoN is dedicated to helping the local church educate workers through the practical teaching of the Word of God, theological studies, and academic achievement. All programmes are designed for discipleship training, to increase wisdom and knowledge while transforming the individual’s character to be more like that of Christ.

Our Philosophy

ABCoN's philosophy of ministry is premised upon non-denominational but Full Gospel perspective of the Kingdom of God.

Statement of Faith

We firmly believe . . .

● That there is only one God, who has revealed Himself as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

● In the absolute Lordship and deity of Christ, including His pre-existence, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection and His eventual return to the earth in glory and power to establish His eternal kingdom.

● In the full spiritual authority, the reliability, and the divine inspiration of the Bible.

● That nothing can replace the importance of the local church in the program of God. Each local church should be under the immediate sovereignty of the Holy Spirit, and should determine its own character and role in obedience to the will of God.

● That the great task of the church is worldwide evangelism, beginning from each local church’s Jerusalem.

● That entrance into the church is through the "new birth", which is brought about by genuine repentance, confession of faith in Christ as the only Saviour, and surrender to Him as one’s personal Lord.

● That membership in the church is signified by joyful participation in its worship, fellowship, sacraments, witness, and by acceptance of its discipline.

● That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is an essential component of effective Christian life and witness.

● That the church cannot fulfill its mission apart from the five ascension gift ministries that Christ has sent into the world: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. We accept that it is a part of our task to recognize those people and to assist in equipping them to fulfill their ministry.

● That Christ purchased healing for every believer at Calvary, and this healing should be appropriated by faith.

● In the reality of Satan, and of the kingdom of darkness over which he reigns, and of the absolute triumph of Christ over the devil and all his works.

● That victorious Christian life is built on a proper understanding and exercise of spiritual authority conveyed to the believer by the gift of righteousness.

● In the resurrection of the dead at Christ's return, in the certainty of God's judgment, and in the inescapable result of that judgment foretold in the scriptures for the just and the unjust.
