"COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, NAME THEM ONE BY ONE…"

"Bless the LORD, o my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's" - Psalm 103:1-5, ESV

What a wonderful privilege to be alive on the last day of the year, 2022!

I'm sure the outgoing year does mean different things to different people. For many of us, it's been a wonderful year, full of pleasant experiences, whereas for others, it's been a bag of mixed blessings! However it may have been, I'm sure you still have a lot of reasons for which to be grateful.

Yes, I may never have met you before, let alone knew what you've been through. Nevertheless, that you are here reading this is enough for me to say you have many things to be grateful for. Should you still feel the dying year has not been kind to you, may I remind you that there are at least 365 things that God has done for you in the outgoing year!

Counting each day of the year that you've woken up from your sleep or that you have discovered that you're still alive, you'll have 365 things (days) to be thankful for! Waking up veryday and beholding the light of another beautiful morning is a miracle and a cause for which to be grateful!

Against this background, may I encourage you to review each day of the outgoing year and see how God had seen you through every challenge!

Therefore, as you prepare to cross over into the new year, I encourage you to take each item of grace mentioned in Psalm 103:1-5 and see how true each one of them had been in your life in the out going year and be grateful.
